From the Dental Insurance Corner … Don’t Lose Your Benefits!!

As we inch closer to the end of 2014, now is the time to get scheduled for any dental treatment you may have to complete or get started on if you haven’t been in to see the dentist this year. 

The schedules are filling up, but we will find time to fit you in, so your treatment can still be completed within this calendar year.  We have many patients who wait until this time to begin Invisalign (invisible braces) or porcelain crowns, and even getting those few fillings taken care of that they have been putting off. If this is your current situation, we encourage you to contact one of our offices now to schedule your appointment. 

We are contracted with many different insurance plans, including Metlife Dental, Cigna Dental, Delta Dental, and Guardian Dental and have had experience working with their plans and helping our patients find what works best for them. We are happy to call your insurance company to understand your available benefits so you can plan accordingly for the remainder of the 2014 calendar year before your benefits run out or for next year as well.   Also, if you have a flexible spending plan, most will cover expenditures on any or all dental procedures, including cosmetic procedures that your dental insurance may not. 

Each dental plan is a little different from the others… from full coverage dental insurance to individual dental insurance plans, they’re all different. Some will pay for procedures on the day you begin treatment and some will not pay until your treatment has been completed.  Sometimes, this can give you a little more flexibility with scheduling once we know the details of your plan.  Please don’t wait too long to get in, and possibly lose your dental benefits for 2014.  We look forward to hearing from you and helping any way we can!
