From the Dental Insurance Corner … Tis the Season for Plan Updates

Now that the leaves have fallen and the temperatures have dropped, it is also that time of year to think about your dental needs for 2015.

Tis the season for many companies to complete insurance enrollments at their businesses… so you can decide what your insurance needs for the upcoming year may be. 

If you have a lot of dental work that needs to be done, this would the perfect time to see if you can change your dental insurance to a higher option. Or if you need to enroll for the first time because you haven’t had dental coverage in the past… now is the time! Many times a small increase in your premiums can give you a lot more dental benefits to use or increase your coverage for certain services.  This is also the time to increase your flexible spending total, if possible, to complete your dental care. 

We have found that cosmetic dentistry, including, but not limited to Invisalign, porcelain veneers or crowns, are flexible spending account eligible expenses.  If you have a health savings account or flexible spending plans, check with your insurance provider to see what dental treatments are covered.
