Downtown Dental Office in Kansas City Missouri

Over the last 30 years there have been a lot of changes in Kansas City’s downtown area. The community has transformed from an urban breakdown to a complete revitalization. Dr. Thomas L. Anderson and associates has been practicing in downtown Kansas City for more than 27 years to serve the community of dedicated business people and residents that needed a friendly dentist nearby. A Downtown dentist is hard to find because most of the dentists vacated the area in the 1970’s and 1980’s for the growing suburbs. By the early 1990’s downtown Kansas City’s emptiness was very sad, the empty streets, lack of traffic, and closed rundown buildings. During this time of urban flight Dr. Anderson’s downtown dental office struggled for patients, but did not give up.

Things began to change in 2007 with the grand opening of the Kansas City Power and Light District. This is a nine block district comprised of upscale restaurants, entertainment facilities, and boutique shops. Then in October of 2007 just adjacent to the Power and Light District, the Sprint Center opened bringing with it concerts, basketball tournaments, and another reason to start spending more time in our beautiful downtown Kansas City. Kansas City has reinvented itself as an entertainment hot spot and home for thousands of its citizens. It now homes essential services like dental and medical, business offices and retail shopping, banking, grocery stores, and gas stations making downtown a desired living location for many young professionals. In 2011 our world class Kaufmann Center opened, and coming in early 2016 downtown will have a street car stopping every two blocks from Union Station all the way to our Kansas City River Market.

With all these new developments, Dr. Thomas L. Anderson and Associates’ downtown dental office has also grown. When the businesses and people returned, his practice grew. He moved from the old professional building on Grand Avenue to our new office in the Commerce Bank Arcade at 1000 Walnut Street. He set up a brand new state of the art office that was designed for our downtown community, focusing on convenience, and friendly care. Dr. Anderson has a dental team of three associate dentists, Dr. Ellis Thigpen, Dr. Darren Perry, and Dr. Jason Beckman. These highly trained, friendly dentists preform all aspects of dentistry from simple to complex. They are proficient in root canal therapy, oral surgery, placing implants, cosmetic crown and veneer work, and are Premier Preferred Invisalign providers. With all these services provided, there is rarely a need for his patients to seek care from a specialist’s office.   His downtown dental office staff is committed to making each patient’s visit as fun and relaxing as possible. His office provides complementary paraffin hand wax treatments, a variety of music videos and movies to view during the appointment, and a large toy bin for the kids to take home fun prizes after their appointments.
